I agree. The rift was necessary in order for Elon to go back to his life and business. It worked.
The left will always hate him. I hope he knows that.
Elon moved to the populist right and that will make him forever unacceptable to the left.
A person can leave the right and take up with the left. The left will pretend acceptance into their evil fold. They will glorify and use you for propaganda reasons. But when you are no longer useful for that purpose, they are done with you. You lose any clout you had with either side.
And both have a tendency to verbally blurt out at people even though at times it hurts them immensely.
