Well, there was your first mistake....
I first heard “Imagine” on a German radio station in 1972. The DJ didn’t back-announce the songs, so I didn’t know who sang it or that it was a big hit in the English-speaking world. But it struck me when I first heard it that it was a Communist anthem, which is probably why it wasn’t played on the US Armed Forces Network stations in Germany, which I listened to so as to keep up on the US news and the Top 40 hits.

We watch watched Fox. That lingering display was up close and personal on Fox. Were all outlets drawing from one feed?
It had to have been arranged ahead of time; the setup was too perfect.
