Tell them they had their chance to to pay off the bonds , its too late, We are dropping those claims and taking Taiwan instead. (Which actually was ours by conquest when we beat the Japanese. :)

We will not, but if “Take Taiwan” to which we gave independence, we would maintain the status quo while we study what to do unless there is a CCP invasion of “Our Protectorate”. (Just kicking this around for fun.)

I always thought it made sense for Venezuela to drop off the drugs in Cuba an let Cuba take the hits if any.
I never chased that aspect of it.
