In Vietnam, we were not paid in U.S. currency but rather MPC(Military Payment Certificates).
It all was color coded paper notes about the size of Monopoly money in denominations of 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢, $1, $5, $10 and $20 notes.

Shortly after I got in country, the U.S. shutdown all the bases for a currency "conversions day" change-over.

We turned in our MPC for new versions. Let's say the $20 bill was green. The new one might be blue. Making all the green 20 dollar bills invalid after a certain date. The villagers heads exploded on this date and they tried to make any deal they could with us to get their own MPC (which they weren't suppose to have) converted.

So...would it be worth it to do this with our current U.S. currency ? at least the Hundred Dollar Bill ?

Turn all the Hundred Dollar bills into a different form\color ?

That only works if the $100 bills were not already laundered.
