I have yet to find a way to connect a 5-1/4” floppy drive to any motherboard made post 2006. USB adaptors for an external 5-1/4” drive also don’t seem to exist.

I saw that one coming, moved all of that to CDs and 3 1/2" floppies. Both still work.

I didn't react soon enough save the junk on my 8" floppies, but nothing on those would be useful now. Well, maybe the Postscript interpreter would be cool.

There used to be IDE to PCI adapters around, but I haven’t looked into it for many years.
