Nothing misguided about my hard earned money wasted in NATO. Europe has bigger GDP than USA. They can pay for their own defense instead of milking Uncle Sam.
Whether NATO eats your money is a good question. But the necessity of maintaining Europe as an ally free of Russian and Chinese (and Muslim) dominance remains.
