Robots in China are doing it all now, even dancing on stage like pros.
Here Unitree robots doing Webster flips and are performing at Chinese-American singer Wang Leehom’s concert in Chengdu.

Unless, of course, one has direct communications with people living there. I do. They are pretty happy, overall.
That turns out to be a false narrative. When was the last time you were there?
Nonsense. The Chinese are widely known to be faking these demonstrations. Musk and Boston Dynamics have nothing to worry about.
Why are so many in the West in denial about the evolution of China?
I think their manufacturing “ecosystem” is the smart way to go. I worked for a logistics company. Various parts go down, and production stops while waiting for a part. (A part from Argentina to Alberta, CA comes to mind)
In China, with their ecosystem, a manufacturer needs a part, say a company that makes hair dryers needs more electric cords. The electric cords are from a plant 5 blocks away.
Here, I remember expediting mylar bags from Mexico rushing to Pennsylvania for a candy company. I really don’t see us catching up to their streamlined approach.
I betcha Australia will wish they had back all those firearms seized and destroyed then. Taiwan first, the maybe Japan or Australia...Choices, decisions...
It was super interesting watching the Chinese youth and American youth interact during the time of the TikTok ban. (Many, many Americans downloaded the Chinese version).
“Why are so many in the West in denial about the evolution of China?”
Sadly many are so called “conservatives”, ignorant people who like to make themselves feel superior by calling them Chicoms and lull themselves in believing that they’re dealing with Mao’s communist China.
In many ways we’re more communist than they are. There’s no such thing as DEI in China - they’re much more a merit society, and they don’t denigrate profits.
China is the new Star Wars Cantina.
Compared with other tech's, energy storage technology has made very little progress over the past 100 years. When that dam finally bursts, watch out!
Many videos and reports from mainland Chinese who are there - are you spouting the CCP party line?
Look at the Chinese/Indian border for Chinese robotics technology used in guarding the LAC (Line of Actual Control).

No, just trying to inform people that there is a different reality. We all like to be patriotic; but, we shouldn't let that blind us.
Since then a new and gorgeous subway system has been installed, and this is a doozy. I have been told by people I still communicate with that the city has been enhanced even more since 1998, and most cities have been reworked as well. It seems that they are putting the money we put into buying their goods to use.
There is a catch. China is a 100% surveillance state, including TV cameras everywhere. If a person commits a minor crime the fine is taken out of his bank account before that person goes home for the evening. Commit a worse crime, and the person vanishes.
Crime is way down, earnings are up, housing looks nice, and people are happy. Most Chinese people are happy with the way things are done over there. You and I, we'd disappear. So, there are pretty hard limits to the praise I'd heap on that country.
You sound pro CCP. In which case the next question would be are you Deng CCP or Mao CCP. They are very different. Their differences lie at the heart of the party disputes in the CCP.
In China as in the USA, the middle class people— people older than 50 are generally in fairly good shape. Its the people between 20 and 40, who are in their prime family formation years —who are having a hard time of it
You sound like you don't understand what you read, or like to read in things that aren't there.
Ok then I heard wrong.
You’re not pro ccp.
Correct?

Would this subway station and subway even be possible in the US?
