Governor Of California PANICS After Shell LEAVES California! (video)
youtube ^ | 12/18/2025 | Pump Report

Posted on 12/18/2025 12:19:50 PM PST by Signalman

California's gas prices have reached crisis levels—and drivers across the Golden State are demanding answers. This video exposes the complex web of factors keeping California's fuel costs the highest in the nation. Discover how the state's strict refinery requirements, low-carbon fuel standards, and environmental regulations create a perfect storm for sky-high prices at the pump. Learn why California's unique fuel blend can only be produced by a handful of refineries, how the Cap-and-Trade program adds hidden costs to every gallon, and why even minor supply disruptions send prices skyrocketing. We'll explore the refinery shutdowns threatening California's fuel supply, the oligopoly of oil companies controlling the market, and whether the state's aggressive push toward electric vehicles offers any relief for frustrated drivers still dependent on gasoline.

Unfortunately Nevada and Arizona are going to also get skyrocketing oil prices because they get their gas from California.

Newsom is a major butthead!

“California’s unique fuel blend can only be produced by a handful of refineries”.

And I bet those refineries are owned by Dems or Dem money bundlers

“Will he ban companies from leaving now ?”

They actually tried to do an “exit tax” on companies and people, but ran into the pesky Constitution.

They’re still trying to find work-arounds.

Last attempt was AB 259 in 2023–2024, which attempted to tax people for 10 years after they left the state to capture supposed “accumulated wealth”.

I suspect Shell doesn’t own any of the gas stations.

They just sell Shell brand gas.

Forgot about casinos. The one in Wheatland is probably cheaper than $3.40. I drive by a Sams Club every day but I never notice the price. It’s probably cheaper than $3.40 also.

“the oligopoly of oil companies controlling the market,”

Yeah. It’s the oligopolies... Not the ridiculous government of California that is doing everything in its power to end gas and diesel while at the same time forcing EVs while dismantling reliable electricity generation.

I loved growing up in California. But once I started establishing my own business I left.

Thank you for posting Obadiah.

Well, 50+ percent of Californians are okay with this and keep voting for more.

If I'm interpreting Trump47 correcty, that 50+% is questionable.

“California more than any other place is so rigged. It's such a rigged election — If the vote in California was legitimate, which it's not, they have 38 million ballots. Everything is mail-in voting.” --President Trump is now saying “TRUCKLOADS” of evidence will be coming out proving the 2020 election was rigged (12.14.25)

California gas prices are a scam.

The refiners, with a straight face, claim that gasoline prices are higher in the winter because they need to reformulate the gasoline for the colder weather...

...in a state where the average lows in December hover between 50° and 60° and the average highs in August are 80° to 90°.

California requires a unique California Air Resources Board (CARB) gasoline with stricter chemical and emissions standards, so refineries must produce and handle it differently than standard U.S. gasoline.
