In the week prior to November 21, 2025, Leamington police, part of the Warwickshire police, confiscated a collection of 129 antique bladed weapons from a single household in Whitnash, England. The police posted a photograph of the antiques which were confiscated. It was a sort of trophy photograph. The price of an average house in Whitnash is reported to be £364,457 or $488,372. From msn.com:
A spokesman for Leamington Police said: “Now we can’t claim to have seized all the knives pictured through proactive patrols during this #OpSceptre week however after concerns were raised to us earlier this week we have seized 129 bladed articles from a property in Whitnash which clearly in the wrong hands could have caused serious harm.
Later in the article, the police added this:
The police spokesman added: “This means that in most cases it is an offense to possess any of the above articles anywhere. If found guilty of possessing a weapon like this you can face up to 4 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.”
There is a problem with the police actions and the statement above. None of the items pictured are illegal to possess, even with the recent changes in English weapons law. An excellent synopsis of the problem has been posted on Youtube. From Youtube video by antique dealer and expert in edged weapons, Matt Easton:
The UK police seem to have wrongly seized a collection of antique weapons. So Leamington police, part of Warwikshire police earlier this week, proudly boasted on their socials that they had seized 129 edged weapons from a property in Witnash. The problem is that all of the items pictured are completely legal to own.

All one needs in England is a bench grinder (if they are still legal there) and some scrap metal. I made many a nice throwing knife out of old lawn mower blades. I still have them too.
Brits most be totally and absolutely defenseless for goble government to proceed
Nope. Bloody wankers.
Must have been expecting the inlaws over.
I have many swords. I can’t tell if any of these match any in my collection. I have US military swords from the Civil War and earlier, European swords and Japanese Samurai swords. My most valuable is a Japanese Koto sword era katana sword likely from the 1300s and signed on the hilt by the maker, TSUNEKUNI. I would be majorly upset if the police seized them and threw them down on a concrete floor.
In related news everyone in the UK will now be required to eat with plastic spoons.
Because even a spork is too pointy and sharp ...
Granny goes to prison for a set of razor sharp Wustof Kitchen Knives that come new as sharp as Gillett Razor Blades.
Granny’s back yard has many bald spots ...
They are only following orders, the same excuse the Nazis used during the post-WWII war crime trials.
Of course, the people today giving the orders can possess any weapons that they choose, including machine guns.
You can’t have knives because of all the Muslim knifing. Of course, Muslims will be exempt from the anti-knife laws because Islamophobia. /s
Likley put your eye out with that thing!

There’s a video on YouTube of a Muslim protest parade through London. A Jewish guy wearing a skullcap happened to be standing on the sidewalk.
A couple British cops approached him, not to protect him but to tell him to move along. His presence might upset the Muslims.
My point is that it was probably not a top-down order. The cops decided to do that on their own. The rot runs deep, very deep.
Brits can feel safer. Put the old man in a dungeon. Operation Scimitar.
I’m starting to feel a severe dislike for these people.
The UK is a pathetic shell of a once great nation. Let their mistakes never happen here, and let the policies that have been enacted be ripped out root and branch. MAGA!
Wasn’t one bloke in the UK arrested for a picture of him. posted online holding a gun while on vacation in the US?
When they realize somebody with a butter knife also owns a table top grinder...oh noes!
...and paper straws.

UK is now all tyrannical all the time. How and why are we calling this UK government our allies?
I am not knocking any of the abused by their government UK citizens.
