The wife ,likes real life cop/murder shows...”Body Cam” is one and it showed one where an officer was seriously wounded, but they wouldn’t allow EMT folks to tend to him until the area was deemed safe and controlled - why should it be different for civilians?

This is extortion against the city of Seattle, using the services of a clever lawyer. There is no merit to this case, and it should have already been dismissed.

It is not unusual for EMT people to have been attacked during their work, and they do not go into areas where rioters are present without heavily armed security. Even then, they do not go into areas with active armed conflict.

There is no reason to expect that they should.

My guess is they will throw the case or settle it because it is someone else’s money because the government has no obligation to protect any individual.

The Emergency personal (who by the way do not ware bullet proof vests) are in no way required to step up and get shot.

If there were no police to secure the area then they were more then justified in leaving.
