A Minnesota high school has threatneed to suspend students who talk positively about Immigration and Customers Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Paul Paetzel, the principal at Edina High School in Minnesota, has warned that making reference to the work of ICE agents and President Trump’s policy of mass deportations goes against the “culture” that his school is trying to foster.
He wrote in a letter parents:
I want to speak directly and proactively about the culture we are committed to creating at Edina High School.
As we continue to grow as a community, it is essential that we are clear about the expectations we hold for language and behavior that honor the dignity of every student.
Making light of immigration threats or referencing ICE in ways that cause fear or humiliation is a serious offense and not representative of our core values.
Behavior of this nature fundamentally violates our commitment to providing a safe and equitable learning environment free from harassment.
Such language and behaviors directly contradict Edina Public Schools’ vision and mission, and what we expect of our students.
If this type of behavior occurs, we will honor the discipline policy and move forward with consequences up to and including suspension.
Our responsibility is to protect every student’s right to feel safe, respected, and valued at school.
The school, which educates over 2,700 students in grades nine through 12, is said to be among one of the best performing in the country.
His comments come at a time when Minnesota and its outsized Somali population are under intense scrutiny.
Thousands of Somalis, many of whom are residing in the U.S. illegally, were recently found to committed major social security fraud under the leadership of the state’s governor and failed vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz.
Nevertheless, Walz has insisted that it is white men who are really at fault and that he is determined to welcome more people in from the failed and war-torn African nation.
“We are going to defend our neighbors,” Walz said at fundraiser last week.
“Instead of demonizing our Somali community, we’re going to do more to welcome more in.”

What about “the honor and dignity” of American citizens, O ye leftist hypocrites?
Oh, editor...
Maybe Superintendent should be neutered.
Edina is a rich suburb of minnapolis stupid school district
MY AUNT & UNCLE—_ON MY MOTHER’S SIDE-—RAISED 4 GREAT KIDS IN EDINA,MINN
Is that because it terrifies illegal immigrants that are teachers, pricipals, and school board members?
The parents of the district need to tell Principal Paul Paetzel about the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. Students don’t loose their 1st Amendment rights by entering into the school.
They should also threaten to go to Alliance Defending Freedom and see just how fast the school administrators reverse their communistic, woke policies.
I can see an outraged parent fixing the problem permanently.

New Mao red books issued there will be tests later.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Maybe it's a net positive.
When the Brown troops come for the White patriots they may face opposition instead of the current capitulation.
