Baby Boomers Better Beware

Folks in the post-war generation born between 1946 and 1964 are now sixty or older. Scanning social media, it’s hard to miss the anger building against Baby Boomers. Those born after them are increasingly placing the blame for their woes on the unrelenting greed of the Baby Boomer generation. They believe that the Boomers had the sheer luck to be born when America was in its ascendency, and so they accumulated all the wealth, and now they are determined to take it all with them to the grave, not sharing a penny with the generations which came after.

[DISCLAIMER: This post about growing PERCEPTIONS of Boomers. It’s not about how I feel, it’s about the growing anger toward older Americans, deserved or not.]

And it’s not just a few random posts I’ve cherry picked from social media. It’s everywhere. Any search will bring up results like these below:

So add anger toward the Baby Boomer generation to the anger of Blacks against Whites, the poor against the rich, socialists against capitalists, Democrats against Trump Republicans, and a witch’s brew of social anger is being stirred with more and more fire building under the bubbling pot.

Our social contract is so frayed that when riots begin the withheld anger boils over.

White Baby Boomers living in single-family homes in affluent suburbs will be at the greatest risk of any demographic. The anger toward them will be come from several social vectors at the same time. People displaced from urban cores by rampant criminality will have no compunction at all against invading the homes of empty-nest Baby Boomers. Their lives will be taken in the first minutes if they are fortunate. If not, their prolonged abuse and torture will serve to amuse the new tenants. Read up on what happens to farmers in South Africa when their homes are attacked if you think I’m being hyperbolic. This is one screen capture, I could post pages and pages.

Do you think that the people who live in nice suburbs like the one shown below are ready for the hellscape and sh**storm that will ensue if and when America suffers a social breakdown, one that can result from any of the maladies now simmering in that witch’s cauldron? We could experience a financial collapse of our own creation, or a cyber attack by our enemies, or a direct kinetic attack against our exposed and undefended power grid.

Will the folks living on these leafy suburban streets be ready for armed, organized and mobile bands of desperate urban poor who are looking to relocate and upgrade their crib at the same time? In third-world countries, these homes would at least have walls around them. In our current “high trust” society, these homes can be approached from all directions, without as much as a security guard in sight. And you can take it at as given fact that there will be no official police making house calls, and your desperate calls to 911 will only get a busy signal, or a taped “please hold” message. Amen to everything you said! My father was murdered when I was 2 years old. My mom put us six kids up for adoption because she couldn’t take care of us. I was put into a home where my “mom” was manic depressive and admitted she didn’t really like me because I was blond. Can you believe that? Of course she didn’t admit that until I was in my 40’s and she was sick. I have lived in a hut with an outhouse and in a 15 foot RV with no shower so I had to shower outside with a hose. But I kept on working to get a better life and I made it. A lot of this happened in the 50’s and 60’s without anyone’s help. No young person can tell me I am to blame for their troubles. Everyone has their own life and problems! Work to fix your own as I did! And grow up!!

I am wholly in agreement. I detest this leftist tool for slicing and dicing the American public into finer and finer groups to pit against each other.

GenX, Boomers, GenZ, it is good fodder for humor on all sides which I see as acceptable, but the Left sees this as another vector of attack since their race, sex, and gender divisional efforts are not reaping the division and other rewards for them they desire.

You see people on all sides engaging in it now, and it isn’t humor.

Perhaps we ..I say we grudgingly because I was born in the last year or so , of the boomers. My wife was born so close to the date she could be either a boomer or an X….do have some of the blame to bear.

BUT

Do some searching. Most of the soul crushing conditions Millenials and Zs are facing (immigration flood/crime/debt up to their noses) are NOT Boomers fault at all.

The so called “greatest Gen” and “lost gen” had politicians and leaders that were Almost Communists/ and if interntionLit socialists.

And don’t forget Emma Lazarus whose stupid poem changed the notion of the Statue of Liberty from celebrating REPUBLICAN democracy (look it up) to immigration. Born 1849.

The problem isn't Baby Boomers, it's the federal government and out-of-control welfare programs combined with deficit spending that have created massive inflation. Millennials and younger generations often just want to get rich quick, but the reality is that the average U.S. citizen is tapped out. Energy, raw materials, and basic goods keep getting more expensive while wages can't keep up. This isn't the fault of the Boomers who worked and saved; it's the result of government giveaways and policies that put subsidized dollars in the hands of welfare queens and her brood, directly competing with hard-earned money at stores like Costco for the same steaks and lobsters.
