| Thanks for the post, Dacula. Pleased to see maitake (Hen of the Woods) being mentioned. In the States, it's rare to see maitake. Though one time, roaming the Pocono woods, I found one of those "hens" and took it home. Just last night my wife made a soup with maitake. A key benefit of living in Nippon is the wide variety of mushrooms for sale at the better supermarkets. |
