I was very young when the Nixon takedown occurred, but Watergate still pisses me off.
IMO Nixon would’ve survived in our current political environment. The country back then was full of Democrat voters, as well as both Houses of Congress plus the democrat media.
Most importantly, we have X today. A tweet by Elon Musk would have saved Nixon's presidency if the Watergate scandal happened today.
