Lakin admitted in his unsworn statement that he was wrong, that his orders were legitimate and if he had to do it over again he would not have disobeyed the orders.

That’s all he could say when he was allowed no defense. Ask him if he really believes that neither US laws nor the US Constitution are relevant when determining the lawfulness of combat orders.

Heck, ask any military person anywhere what orders short of torture could ever be unlawful, now that Judge Lind has said that no laws or Constitution are relevant to deciding the lawfulness of orders. As long as the chain of command orders it, it is lawful according to her. And a bunch of idiots with no skin in the game cheer this on. Makes me absolutely sick to my stomach.

Also, why in the world would he say he would do it all over again, when the whole episode only proved that the US military is lawless? His “mistake” was ever believing that the corrupt system which put Obama into place would ever allow any ray of integrity to exist within the system.

I was told by a spec ops guy that there are levels of awareness. White is normal, yellow is raised suspicion, red is full-out war, and black is peace. I asked him if the goal was peace. He said the only time you ever reach black is when you’re dead - when everything you love and fight for has been lost to the enemy.

What you are describing is Lakin going black. Giving up on the US military and US Constitution ever meaning anything ever again.

I’m praying for a miracle, that God can resurrect this rotting corpse. But He’ll have to do it over the objections of a lot of smarmy people here on Free Republic.
