Maybe the cat was struggling and the eagle dropped it to try to kill it. Cat Lovers-I am just the messenger.

It appears to be OK but hungry. I bet raw cat tastes horrible. Go catch a fish or a squirrel.

I live in North Carolina.
One day I was sitting on my back porch, and I saw a hawk swoop down beside my deck. He then flew off with a cat in his talons. The cat was screaming bloody murder. The hawk took his snack into a nearby oak tree.

Are you suggesting cats migrate?
Not at all. They could be carried.
What? An Eagle carrying a cat?
It could grip it by the husk…
It’s not a question of where he grips it it’s a simple question of weight ratios. A five-ounce bird could not carry a five-pound cat.

I wish one would catch my wife’s dog. Oops, did I just say that?

My wife has a dog, or perhaps she should be more accurately called a princess. She lives in deathly fear that a hawk or an eagle is going to carry her away. Too much AI on TikTok for her (my wife’s)own good.

We had a coyote snatch a terrier off the back porch a few months ago.

I watched a hawk that caught a squirrel. Took it up in a pine tree.
Proceeded to render the squirrel into thin fajita style strips . Not much left but tufts of fur.

Well...would have been fun to hear British natural historian David Attenborough narrate that scene. I can hear it in my head now. lol.
