It was just a rhetorical gimmick. They didn’t mean anything specific. I think it was along the lines of Democrats announcing: “If Donald Trump tells you to eat cyanide, you don’t have to do it, OK? You have my permission not to eat the cyanide that Donald Trump is asking you to eat.”
But no one is talking about cyanide. There is no cyanide. Donald Trump isn’t thinking about cyanide.
But the Democrat is stating something true. And it sounds helpful. And it implies some sort of moral superiority over Trump. Somehow. But it’s just useless advice that no one needs to hear.
It is that, but more. They are trying to tell The Big Lie again -- to make sympathetic military members believe that any order they might disagree with could be refused on those grounds.
It's their typical tactic of repeat, repeat, repeat, and eventually somebody believes -- and implements -- it. It's sinister, it's infectious, and it's a low-level attempt to discredit and overthrow this government.
