I went from a 2009 Toyota truck to a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.....the Jeep is a blast to drive but quality wise, it doesn’t hold a candle to the Toyota.

It seems I’m always chasing some minor issue that needs attention.

Right now, the driver side mirror cover is rattling......apparently it’s a common problem as there are youtube videos on how to fix it.......and don’t get me started on “death wobble”.

That Death Wobble hit us a few days ago. 65mph and the front wheels felt like we would tumble because they were going back and forth so much. It will be going to the shop under warrantee. It seems they change the steering stabilizer and ball joints.

Death wobble isn't a Jeep thing. It's a solid front axle thing. Something is worn or out of balance/alignment. Most commonly occurs after suspension or tire mods and poor balance/alignment issues.

I bought a used Cherokee XJ that had crappy Chinese tires on it. Death wobble at freeway speeds after hitting a bump was common. I changed the suspension bushings and tie rod ends up front (anything that could have been worn out). No change. Changed the tires, got a balance and an alignment and no more wobble. The cheap Chinese tires were the most likely culprit. They had very soft sidewalls compared to the Firestone tires I put on it.
