Skepticism about climate change has resurfaced, as some experts claim the exact causes of global warming remain unclear and that the policies addressing it are motivated more by money than by science.
Richard Lindzen, Professor Emeritus of Meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has spent decades studying atmospheric science. He told the Daily Mail that the public hysteria surrounding global warming isn't actually based on realistic data.
Climate change is the term used to describe Earth's warming, mainly as a result of human activity, such as burning coal, oil and gas.
Scientists and climate activists have warned that this extra warmth could cause more extreme storms, rising seas that flood cities, and hotter summers that make it harder to grow food worldwide - all within the next 25 years.
However, Lindzen said the financial implications of controlling the multi-trillion-dollar energy industry have been the true motivation for politicians to support flawed research that argues small temperature increases will lead to immediate disasters.
'The fact that you have a multi-trillion dollar industry and you have an opportunity to completely overturn it had a great appeal to a lot of politicians,' he explained. 'They go wild on it. Another half degree and we're doomed, and so on. The public knows this is nonsense.

Funny how all of us who have bene saying this for over 10 years now are just “chopped liver.”
I’m glad he said it but unfortunately, that is the reason it will be so hard to stop the climate change scam. Way too many people have a vested interest in keeping the grift going.

Yeah Lindzen has been around forever, since the early 1960s and he’s written countless pages on atmospheric physics, but because he doesn’t bow down to the altar of Al Gore he’s completely ignored in favor of self appointed “experts” like Gore and AOC.
Just think: If Junkie Jezebel - the word salad Queen, won the election instead of Trump, we would probably be looking at a number of bans right now.
No gas stoves, no fracking, no coal mining, possibly even bans on gas powered cars.
Besudes Russia collusion, climate change is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people. Just think how much money it’s cost you so far in terms of raised gas prices, catalytic converters, DEF systems in diesel trucks where they constantly have to fill up a DEF tank costing consumers more money.
Lindzen has been outspoken for years. “resurfaced” is the wrong verb. Like numerous other ethical scientists, he has been subject to efforts at silencing by the Cult.
The True Believers will hang on to the bitter end, but the collapse of COP30 should signal the siren song of the organized cult.

A MIT college scientist I can finally agree with.
The fact that plow massive amounts of taxpayer money into bogus "green energy' projects that never work demonstrates that they are only interested in destroying America's energy grid and enriching themselves and their cronies in the process, not saving the world.
And I would believe Richard Lindzen ahead of many others.
I think "climate change" was coined in response to data showing that the earth was actual cooling at the time ( because it's cyclical), but they had to keep the grift alive so the shysters pivoted to climate "change" - still our responsibility and if we only gave them enough money (and did stupid things) they could "cure" it.
What happens at the bitter end? Do they accept that their entire belief system was wrong and move on, do they get violent against those that lied to them or do they snap and become a mental vegetable? I worked with a few that are likely to got the vegetable route.
