British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the introduction of compulsory digital ID cards on Friday for people who work in the UK — a measure to tackle illegal immigration and maintain control over borders.
"You will not be able to work in the United Kingdom if you do not have digital ID. It's as simple as that," Starmer said in a keynote address during London's 2025 Global Progress Action Summit.
The policy, which he said would be required by the end of the current parliament, aims to address concerns about illegal workers in the shadow economy and maintain fairness in the immigration system.
"I think it's a good idea... We all need to do whatever we can to support the government to manage immigration,” said London resident Mark.
Others, however, weren’t so receptive.
“It's probably not the best of ideas. Because with anything digital, everything can be changed,” said an unnamed Hull resident.

Well, no earthling will escape. But those whose citizenship is in heaven will be delivered.
Thanks for posting!
Exactly!!
God bless you 😇😇 🙏🛐🙏✝️✝️✝️
It is the same authoritarian plan for the U.S.
One of the first steps of "the cure" is a National ID - which I have seen even a few FReepers support the idea. Some sort of official National ID would be unconstitutional, not that anybody truly pays attention to the constitution anyways. Its been a byword for a long time.
Honestly all the prophecy is there, and all the warning signs are there.
True!
But in the case at hand, it was more like this:
Step 1: Berate the (overwhelmingly White indigenous populace) for "sins of the fathers" dating back centuries.
Step 2: Instill in them a profound sense of guilt over alleged "inherent racism."
Step 3: Allow hoards of uncivilized Third Worlders into your country until social services and crime prevention agencies are overtaxed.
Step 4: Remind the native populace how guilty they still are.
Step 5: Expand social services to the breaking point.
Step 6: Reduce crime prevention ("Cancel the Police!") and release criminals back into the streets ("No-bail release").
Step 7: Wait until entire neighborhoods and even city districts are swarming with uncivilized Third Worlders ("No-go Zones," "Food Deserts," etc.).
Step 8: Again remind the native populace how they are still to blame for everything.
Step 9: Continue affording uncivilized Third Worlders preferential treatment on all levels.
Step 10: Wait and watch as social services break down, entire police forces quit in disgust, and the tax burden becomes unbearable.
Step 11: When the psychologically demoralized native populace begins to resist, remind them how racist they are.
Step 12: When political pressure become too great to ignore, propose "The Solution" (= "More State Control" / "Weakened Civil Rights"). Don't allow any discussion of any counter-proposals (enforce existent legislation and, e.g., deport uncivilized Third Worlders).
Step 13: Implement "The Solution."
Step 14. Move on to the next stage.
Regards,
Amen to that
