Tout le monde a une opinion. I can take or leave Drinker's two cents, too; but he always has insights I wouldn't have considered.

My complaint (without having seen the movie yet) is that the critics are giving "Predator: Badlands" positive reviews for all the wrong reasons. You don't go see a Predator film for touchy-feely relationship building tales or to see an underdog beat all odds because he found a female companion to take advice from.

'Predator' is about the masculine prerogative and drive to survive and prove one's worth using strength, cunning and glorious violence. No room for back seat drivers or cute Baby Yoda knock-offs in that story. But I'm not a modern film critic sitting around in pajamas drinking latte's, either.

That's all I've got for today. Go away now.

I’ll have to wait til streaming to see Bandlands (I am on the mend with a knee injury)

The companion, as I understand it, isn’t female. It’s a synthetic.

There’s not much to glean from beefy men going up against a hunter... after the first movie. What went on in the ‘80s in terms of action movies, I’m not sure that can be duplicated in the late 2020s. Hollywood tried with Jason Momoa as Conan and it flopped.

I quite liked Weapons; horror is really in a great spot in today’s Hollywood. Wicked and Zootopia 2 will do huge business, so YouTubers saying Hollywood is burning, I don’t see it.
