Gazans will never be free and prosperous while they are ruled by Hamas gangsters. They will never even be normal people until Hamas has been forced out.
The problem is for many there is this unspoken but obvious belief that there is no hope for anything other than some nihilistic scenario, because there is no "alternative" to Hamas, that the population is irreparably brainwashed, and the PLO is equally bad. So you can guess where that line of logic ultimately leads. Which is awful. And to be fair, the neighboring Arab countries like Jordan don't seem interested in taking control even if offered - either.
But I think Trump has been doing the right thing.
