The View co-host Joy Behar credited Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Wednesday for being “smarter than we thought” for “turning on” her own party and publicly breaking with colleagues in several areas.
Behar’s remarks came one day after Greene’s first ever appearance on ABC’s daytime roundtable and after the Democrats’ sweeping electoral wins the prior evening.
During her sit down on The View on Tuesday the congresswoman fielded challenges from host Whoopi Goldberg on the consequences of the government shutdown and the impending loss of benefits provision, only to surprise the co-hosts with her answers – with Behar even suggesting she become a Democrat.
Advertisement Behar, clearly still musing on Greene’s position, was asked by Goldberg what she’d learned in recent days – Behar immediately reflected on the Georgia lawmaker:
"‘Whatshisname’ Trump is going to have to learn how to pronounce Mamdani’s name now. That’s gonna be rough on him. Before we even talk about that, I have to say Marjorie Taylor Greene was on the show yesterday and her timing couldn’t have been better.
I mean, she’s basically turning on the Republicans in several areas. Of course, continuing to say she loves Trump because why wouldn’t you, because the retribution against her would be horrible, so she stays there. And then today the Democrats pulled it out of the air and did it. So she was right, she’s smarter than we thought."

100%; she chose Kevin McCarthy over America. This is all downstream of that mistake. That being said, I think shes proven a more deft politician that initially appeared. However, I don’t think she will leave her district until she wants to- the power of incumbency is profound.
MTG seems to be what my dad used to call “a flake.”
Interesting, because Behar is dumber than I thought.
Keep telling yourselves that, dark blue states elect blue candidates. Sweeping.
MTG will personally learn that everyone hates a traitor.

Yeah, it does make sense. It also shows her true colors (if this is true).
You would change your position to if you’ve been Swatted 6 times, and you have kids at home.
They won in Republican areas too, though.
Being in political office is not a necessity of life.
She isn’t changing - she’s showing her true colors.
