We tested the paid versions of ChatGPT 5, Gemini 2.5, Grok 4, and DeepSeek across nine real-world categories -- including problem-solving, image and video generation, fact-checking, analysis, creativity, and deep research. We paid for every tool tested -- no free tiers, no shortcuts. This is an independent comparison based purely on real performance, not hype. Which AI is truly the smartest?

Thanks for linking it. I had not gone to the site itself, just saw the results. It does say “3 free transcripts daily” though.
My pleasure, and I appreciate your pointing it out.
I didn’t want to register using my email.
That is a nice piece. It does nearly double in decibel output at 2:15, could be an artifact from processing?
Understand. I use a number of free alias email addresses at https://www.mail.com for stuff like that... a very reliable mail service.
ChatGPT still pwns for vibe coding. I don't see the heat for Claude, it ties for 2nd with Gemini behind Chat.
Thanks.
Just gave that one a plunge. I asked “what can I do for you” or whatever, did that, then after email, email verification, then cell message verification, it hit me with the now what would you to pay.
Here’s Claude’s link as well:

I use Duck AI because they swear they aren’t collecting any info on you.
Thanks, I’ll try that in a minute.
After waiting two minutes for the browser to load (I remember now why I don’t use that browser) I immediately liked the no-acct-required of their AI.
The AI said it couldn’t obtain the YouTube transcript of a sample video, suggesting that I obtain it and reformat it manually.
But, it gave me this link, which I’m about to try:
https://tactiq.io/tools/youtube-transcript
Oh, greeeeeeat. Here’s one line of the tactiq results:
“00:12:24.079 that they will publish. And if so,”
DDG ai also gave me this link, which I’m about to try:
https://kome.ai/tools/youtube-transcript-generator
Okay, same YouTube vid, it grabbed the YT transcript, and just took out the time stamps, no spellcheck, no reformatting.
But thanks, I’ll try DDG ai for some other things and see how it goes.
It appears to have worked, but I had to split a not-quite 13 minute transcript into two parts.
Next time I’ll use the link with my usual browser:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=DuckDuckGo+AI+Chat&ia=chat&duckai=1
posted the results in an appropriate thread from June:

I have no idea what you're talking about with this? Duck AI loads instantly on my setup no waiting of any kind required.
Not on this one it doesn’t.
My first “real” internet email address (early- to mid-90s) was, if memory serves, on one of the domains that now belongs to mail.com, interesting anyway, thanks for the link!
I got in on a free invite when it soft opened, if you decide to offer make sure you have a 'clean room' payment method, manus is Chinese.
I have to tell you for Agent AI, like go do this thing (build a website from pillar to post) and notify me when you're done? Unbeatable. Next-level vibe coding.
