On a serious note, national pride should be set aside and if astronauts from any nation are stranded, any other nation with a vehicle on the ready should be made available.

Of course “generous” compensation should follow (agreed upon beforehand).

There should be a MOA between all nations with manned space programs: China, Russia, US.

Agreed—and all nations should agree to have universal docking equipment in their designs.

Common sense is apparently uncommon.

Different orbits, and likely different docking mechanisms.

One doesn’t just launch a rocket and scoot over to pick them up. I am sure China has a spare that they can send up to bring back a couple of them. That tube in space must be getting pretty small with six folks in there.
