I figure the color change is due to layers of different materials being exposed to the light and heat from the Sun.
BTW, this thing never came any closer to the Sun than just inside the orbit of MARS, before turning back. WE were on the opposite side of the Sun, so it disappeared briefly until we came around the other side............
non gravitational acceleration?!
They hit the gas!
Well, it is going to be 170 million miles from earth at its closest.
So, it ain’t Jesus.
Time to bring back DDT.
“shows signs of”. well, that proves...something? i guess 3i/atlis didn’t believe gravity assist would be enough?
Turbo kicked in. There’s always a delay. Should have used a supercharger instead!...................
According to this team of astronomers, it only APPEARS to have changed color.
"True Believers" grasp at straws.
Thought the aliens were supposed to land on Earth on Halloween.
The universe is billions of years old and people on earth have only had the technology to observe such things at this degree for about 200 years. This is simply a different type of comet than we’ve ever observed before.
It’s like observing a new animal or plant species.IMO

Almost every day I see a news story about this object, and they’re so absurd I don’t know what to believe. Besides the ones claiming it’s an alien spaceship, one story claimed that a probe named Hermes landed on it, and brought back a sample that was 33 percent made of nickel. I certainly didn’t believe that one, knowing how it takes at least a year to design a space probe, build and launch it, and we haven’t known about 3I/Atlas long enough to do that.
☄ In addition to not having enough lead time to send a probe, the rock is moving too fast for our spacecraft. If it weren’t, we’d have been firing interstellar probes in all directions for a while now. 😊
