Another thing reported is that one of the businesses hit was Kentucky Petroleum Recycling which had very large tanks presumably filled with flammable material, and also auto repair facilities which likely had the same causing secondary large explosions, not to mention the cars in the parking areas it also struck.

Jet fuel is 6.4 lb/gallon.

They’re misspeaking - it is pounds, not gallons.

Easy error to make given when you are talking about fuel you usually speak regarding its volume rather than its weight.

Don’t forget the Amazon plane that fell out of the sky near Houston. Boeing 767.On approach to the airport, the co-pilot went to full power and then dived it into the bay.

Well yes, but the post office has a contract with several companies to drop off mail bags at destinations, so basically UPS is delivering packages as well as mail.

It's interesting to me as to the cause of the crash.

Oh I wasn’t disagreeing with you.

It also can go both ways - UPS uses USPS for some local deliveries - UPS dropping off some packages at the post office.

Okay, no problem. The video of the takeoff looks like the right engine was on fire. See the video on Daily Mail.

UPS flight 2976 was operated by a McDonnell Douglas MD-11(F) registered N259UP. The aircraft was 34 years old and first delivered to Thai Airways International in 1991 for passenger service. It was converted to freighter configuration in 2006 and began service with UPS that same year. The aircraft is powered by three General Electric CF6-80C2D1F engines.
