Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., reportedly will not seek reelection in 2026 as Democrats are preparing for Pelosi's retirement from Congress.
The retirement plans are expected to be announced after Tuesday's elections, multiple party sources told NBC News.
Pelosi, 85, spent two stints as speaker, which would end nearly 40 years representing her San Francisco district.

Her constituents should ask, what have we gotten from her forty years of service? Being San Franciscans I doubt they will.
Well, whatever the reason, I look forward to seeing Pelousy out of D.C. Then again, the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t, as the saying goes. We are talking about SF, after all.

She was told she had to leave. She has challengers and more to come. They wanted her out and were going to fund the challengers to get her out.
She is being forced out.

The much worse Scott Weiner, who is busy destroying what’s left of California, has already said he will step up to the plate and run for Pelosi’s seat - which he’s sure to win:
“State Senator Scott Wiener has officially announced his candidacy for the U.S. House seat currently held by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, representing San Francisco.”
