An interesting trivial question, when & where was the first recorded use of Electronic Warfare and by which country?


Lonepalm would you count the purposeful telegraphing/messaging to London of the false outcome of waterloo by the bankers who then bought up all the falling prices before the real news came through?

Surely that counts as market manipulation, not EW.

For EW any subversion of military adversaries would count, and there may be a more nuanced historical event, so what's the real answer?
