Scott quit after 1 month and then attacked me and went out of his way to hurt my family as much as he possibly could.

The first lecture we were given in medical school was that our patients were under stress, and coped with it in many ways: Hostility, love, sexual advances, humor, withdrawal, questioning, refusing to take their medicine correctly, missing appointments, etc.
It is the disease talking, not reality.
