WHY IS MY ELECTRICITY BILL SO HIGH???

In MA, Healy’s office demands that 63% of electricity dispersed must be from ‘sustainable sources”...

AI
“Massachusetts requires a growing percentage of its electricity supply to come from renewable energy sources, with the total requirement set to reach 81% by 2028. This is achieved through a combination of the Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard (RPS) and the Clean Energy Standard (CES), with the RPS Class I growing by 2% annually until 2029 and the CES increasing over time. For new construction, detached one- and two-family homes are now required to have a solar energy system that produces at least 80% of the dwelling’s estimated average annual electricity use.”

A typical lib pipe dream... Possible at times, but storage and conversion at night and in bad weather requires phenomenal cost! .......a dream❗

Massachusetts is full of Massh*les that think they know better than anybody else, how to run their own life.

Typically, unless you maintain and properly design and plan a solar system and include storage batteries, you won’t come close to supplying 81% of your home’s electricity needs. Perhaps if you have gas heat, gas stove, and a gas water heater, and don’t run the AC much, it can be more easily attainable.

Most of these systems will fall into disrepair in 3-5 years and the person owning it will just pay confiscatory rates for their power like everyone else in these blue commie states.
