DOGE can identify waste and fraud, and recommend change and cuts. But Congress has to pass the cuts. There’s the problem.

He didn’t exaggerate the potential - he and his DOGE crew just didn’t have the authority to actually effect the changes they identified as being needed...politicians on both sides of the aisle stopped the efforts.

He COULD have saved Trillions, but he and his crew were run out of DC.

That is not true. First off less than half of all Federal workers even teleworked in the first place. Almost 60% were never telework eligible and went to their duty stations every day. Out of the remaining approx 40% of telework eligible employees, many did not telework or only teleworked part time (one or two days a week). The only full time telework positions of any significant number were at headquarters positions in the Washington DC area and even if you took every Federal employee there and made them telework full time, that is only 15% of the total Federal workforce nationwide.
