Taking those numbers and then extrapolating it to other towns etc. is incorrect.
By that measure, they can say “Dundee, population 150K, has 30K people who eat haggis while playing bagpipes. So, by extrapolation, the UK as a whole (population 70 million) has 14 million people who eat haggis while playing bagpipes”
