In the early, early morning Tuesday, in the aftermath of Game 3, Blue Jays manager John Schneider was quick to remind reporters that the defending champion Dodgers “didn’t win the World Series, they won a game.”

I joke that Ohtani is really an advanced Japanese robotic human.
He never shows any emotion, just does his job.

Freeman was born and raised in Southern California to Canadian parents.

He’s probably bored, nobody good enough to pose a challenge to him.

Truly one of a kind.
I doubt that I will see anyone else like him in my lifetime.

How many “Californians” are playing for the Dodgers?

It seems like the Dodgers have a one man team.

The Blue Jays have 9+ players on their team. Watching the game, we are all Americans. It’s baseball.

Now, in hockey, it’s always USA v Canada.

In professional sports, very few players are from the area where the team plays home games.

And I know a storyline has been USA versus CANADA in this World Series. But Toronto gets its players from the same sources as all the US based teams. It’s not like the Toronto Blue Jays are a Canadian team staffed with Canadian players.

Because Freeman’s parents were both born in Canada,
Freeman holds dual Canadian and American citizenship.

Still better than most teams. The best money can buy, just like the Yankees.

I joke that Ohtani is really an advanced Japanese robotic human. He never shows any emotion, just does his job.

Watching him all year (even though I am not a Dodger fan anymore), I've seen him display lots of emotion. He's almost always smiling in the dugout, he clowns around and plays pranks on his fellow teammates, he jokes and interacts with the fans and the opposing teams. If you mean by not showing emotion that he doesn't bitch to the umpires and throw fits, you're right.

"While I have no love for Toronto, I root for whomever the Dodgers are playing."

My mother was born in Canada, so you'd think I'd be rooting for Toronto. After Carney pulled the bet crap, claiming President Trump was too scared to take the bet, and when they fooled around with an old Reagan video, had him bad-mouthing tariffs, and got called on it, and President Trump cancelled meetings with Canada, I've been rooting for the Dodgers to kick their butts. I remember when the Dodgers were in New York. That was a long time ago.

Now another issue I have with the Blue Jays, is that they are in a foreign country, separate from the U.S, their headquarter is in Canada, so why are they allowed to belong to an American Baseball League? What revenue do they bring into this country from their home games? Their stadium is in Canada. It was built by EllisDon Construction, headquartered in Canada, and Dominion Bridge Bridge Company, headquartered in Quebec, but now defunct. WTF?? How much money did they pay to become a part of American baseball, or whose ass did they kiss? This had never come to mind before the recent crap with Canada. I don't even watch baseball. I'm a 78 year old lady.

I don't want to hear any crap that they are part of the North American continent. That doesn't cut it. They're still a foreign country. You need a passport to visit there, and them to come here. So WTF are they doing competing in the World Series no less. They should be kicked out and forced to join an international baseball league. So, what's next? Because Mexico touches our border and is part of North America, and Central America is in North America, are we going to let them become a part of American baseball leagues? Again...WFT???

Okay, I'm done now.
