“What would be your response?”
To cancel the trip. And to ask the organizers why they would book a conference in a city that is so hostile to Christians and Republicans that you have to hunker down for your own safety.
With Antifa being organized and funded like any other terrorist organization, I’m not sure that there IS any “safe” location in America for speakers that Antifa targets. And those who come to hear those speakers are potential collateral damage. That is not the fault of the organizers. When it comes to Charlie Kirk, he had the courage to go right into the lion’s den, metaphorically speaking. Unfortunately, with groups like Antifa around, it’s not just metaphorically speaking any more. This country is literally a lion’s den when the lions are funded, protected, and promoted by one whole side of the political spectrum.

I respectfully disagree. The conference is there as much as an outreach as a conference, to encourage the locals to inquire and participate. It needs to be supported in every way. Not showing up is not an option. There is a difference between banding together at the conference, and going out on your own there. Together, you're likely not a target. Alone, you likely are. Wear your badge at the conference. Don't wear it when you're out alone. Common sense.
