..humans from Eurasia trekked more than 12,400 miles to eventually reach the southernmost tip of South America, according to a new paper published in the journal Science.

The paper's authors are egregiously in error.

A prior DNA study discredits that statement and the whole of their paper if that's their premise. smh

I suppose more than one group came across in various ways, on foot, in canoes and rafts or some other type of vessels.......
