I can eat bologna if I have to, and I kind of like fried bologna thought I would only have it if that were the only thing available. My dad, who was no cook, would fry it for us for breakfast, cutting a diagonal radial slice from the center to the edge to make it lay flat!
But Olive Loaf...NEVER.

To my seven year old brain, when I saw it on that Wonder Bread in my lunch box, it always looked like some small-statured aliens had been rolled into a loaf of bologna and sliced in a deli slicer! Looking for all the world like axial CT Scan slices of little alien green heads with red brains...yeah.

I thought Pritzker was on FOX yesterday?

In Bologna, bologna isn't called bologna. The bolognesi call it mortadella.

I fry mine too...until it’s black.

Well, admittedly, I was a fussy eater as a kid...so if my brain told me I wouldn’t like it...

When you are poor, there is no such thing as a ‘fussy eater’, you eat whatever is put in front of you and you thank the Lord for it...............

Yeah, well I know that now, but as a seven year old...I wasn’t going to eat alien brains.

Bologna, good and cold, on white bread with American cheese and a little mustard. I like it.
