Born and still living in Upstate New York.....Watched my parents stock up before winter. I’m 80...still do it faithfully.

One of the local TV stations in Knoxville has a news segment something like “Five Things You Need To Know”. 🙄 Not sure why, but it really turns me off. They don’t get to decide what I need to know.
We get Kirkland brands pods “Pacific Bold”. It’s about $.40/pod regular, but less when we get out on sale.
We drink Keurig coffee cups most of the time and there was a big price hike last year, well before Trump’s tariffs. The price hike was partly concealed because - for several brands - you now only get ten cups per box instead of twelve.
I don’t care how much it costs - GIVE ME MY COFFEE!!!!!
I was born and raised in hurricane country, that made me aware as a kid.
But like coffee, there are still many grocery staples with price rises significantly outpacing the overall inflation rate.
Umm ain’t that price gouging Moe.
Not all items go up at once it’s a creep thing so few notice it.

Reading this has given me great schadenfreude as the caffeine addicts lament. Caffeine is more additive than cocaine proven scientific research for those brave enough to look. Haven’t had caffeine in 20 years so ha suck it junkies.
That said why not greenhouse grow it in Texas or anywhere in the south heat and mist the greenhouses plus add extra CO2 for double growth rates. Better yet vertical farm it in high rise stacks.

Coffee prices are surging b/c of freezes in the Brazilian coffee growing regions. The storage warehouses were low, about 60% or so.
