From Google Search Assist:

Acid reflux itself is not classified as a disease; it is a condition where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus. However, when acid reflux occurs frequently and causes symptoms or complications, it is referred to as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

I have GERD. I also have IBD- inflammatory bowel disease. These are chronic conditions. The way I see it, diseases can be spread. Chronic conditions can’t. They may be passed on genetically, but not spread.

I don’t care what they’re called…

I was on Prilosec for nearly 20 years, I quit using it. Started eating sauerkraut, cut back the bread and carbs, and it disappeared. Sometimes it comes back, usually after a Holiday meal. I will take a Prilosec for a day or two, and it goes away for months at a time. Shots of diluted vinegar, and pickle juice also helps, along with vegetable and protein diets. NO TO POTATOES, CHIPS, or cheap grocery store breads.
