LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A downtown Louisville development committee approved a permit application to demolish the former EMW Women's Surgical Center as a 27-story hotel project begins to take shape.

The Downtown Development Review Overlay Committee signed off on the demolition at 136, 138 and 140 West Market Street. EMW closed in 2022 after Roe v. Wade was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The $175 million project planned for 2nd and Market streets in downtown Louisville is set to come complete with a grand ballroom, rooftop pool and street-level restaurant. NuLu-based Zyyo confirmed in July its plans to build the tower, taking over the site of the former EMW Women's Surgical Center next to the Kentucky International Convention Center. The project is called One Forty West, Zyyo founder and CEO Nick Campisano said.

The two sites were sold earlier this year for $4,066,667.

The project calls for an upscale 300-room hotel with a 6,000-square-foot rooftop bar and a pool. A 7,500-square-foot restaurant is planned for the first floor, and more than 12,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space is planned on the second floor. Right across the street on West Market, Zyyo has opened the new Hotel Bourré Bonne, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. It feature 168 rooms and opened at the end of April this year.

I tried to google how many patients deaths occurred there over the years. Just alot of flowery, misleading propaganda like this whopper: both D&C and misoprostol are generally safe options

And then they swabbed baby parts off the floor.

This is from Operation Rescue. Scroll down and you will find all kinds of information on this clinic from the past.

I’m sure in one of the reports is how many abortions they did.

Love the find us map on the link. Look just to the right of the locator icon. It literally says ‘Butchertown’. You can’t make this insanity up.

I just hope some pro lifer takes video of the building being torn down and posts it.

Louisville can always use another hotel more so around the derby time.

Yeah, that’s actually an old school name from when those businesses clustered there. It’s an in your face move for an abortuary to be there.

Butchertown Pub was a big hangout way back in the day, I went a time or two when visiting Lou-a-vul. Smaller music venue. Now defunct.

Remember its hard for abortion clinics because abortions have been reduced to a pill. There are still thousands of abortions, but now there are no doctors and no surgeries. Just take this pill and its done. So Planned Parenthood has far fewer body parts to sell. And the local pharmacy has everything a young girl needs. The business of abortions is going away but not the abortions themselves.

It seems that the pill isn’t the “cure” all. Sometimes baby parts remain that need a scraping. It is all so sick.
