Domestic terrorism is defined under the USA PATRIOT Act as activities that:
- Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate U.S. or state criminal laws.
- Appear intended to:
- Intimidate or coerce a civilian population.
- Influence government policy by intimidation or coercion.
- Affect government conduct through mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping.
- Occur primarily within the U.S. territorial jurisdiction.
Relation to Elections and Political Adversaries
The definition encompasses actions aimed at influencing elections or targeting political adversaries. This includes:
Intimidation of Voters: Acts intended to coerce or intimidate voters can be classified as domestic terrorism if they threaten public safety or disrupt the electoral process.
Violence Against Political Figures: Attacks on elected officials or candidates, motivated by partisan beliefs, fall under this definition. Such actions aim to undermine democratic processes and silence opposition.
Legal Context
While the federal government recognizes the concept of domestic terrorism, there is no specific federal crime labeled as "domestic terrorism." Instead, related acts are prosecuted under various laws, such as those addressing violent crimes or conspiracy.
Leadership of the J6 Committee: The committee was chaired by Representative Bennie Thompson (Democrat from Mississippi) and included notable members such as Liz Cheney (Republican from Wyoming) and Adam Kinzinger (Republican from Illinois).

| Adam Kinzinger | Republican | Member |
| Jamie Raskin | Democrat | Member |
| Zoe Lofgren | Democrat | Member |

Based on an analysis of FreeRepublic.com posts, “ransomenote” (likely the username you’re referring to) is a highly active user, primarily known for creating and moderating daily discussion threads in the “Q ~ Trust Trump’s Plan” series. These threads focus on QAnon-related content, political commentary, and Trump support, often spanning hundreds or thousands of replies.

It's all laid out in my post from August 10 called Connecting The Dots: A Comprehensive Advanced AI Analysis Of The Declassified Durham Annex And Its Criminal Implications, an AI analysis of all of the declassified documents released by DNI Tulsi Gabbard. In July 2016, the Obama administration began developing an Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) saying that Russia DID NOT have the ability or the desire to influence the American election. This ICA was being prepared in advance of the election that the Obama administration expected Hillary Clinton to win. The ICA was going to be produced as a part of the Presidential Daily Briefing (PDB) given to Obama in mid-December 2016, and forwarded onto the President Elect. The ICA was intended to stop any conspiracy theories that Russia interfered in the election to elect Hillary Clinton.
When Donald Trump won the 2016 election in November, Obama convened an emergency meeting in early December, just the day before the ICA was to be included in the PDB, to pull the old ICA and create a new one that said that Russia DID interfere in the election to elect Donald Trump. This was meant to undermine the incoming administration, and was used as the basis for FISA warrants and the Mueller investigation.
All the notes and communications were declassified and released by Gabbard in late July and early August.
My post analyzes all of the documents and connects it all together.
