I agree, my experience is that Advantage is superior to Supplement, cost wise, to date. In my area, a decent supplement plan, including drugs, dental and vision, costs around $400 per month. I am currently paying $200 for an advantage plan I can live with. I pay this much because I am prescribed one drug whose retail cost is $540 per month. Insurance cuts it to $40 per month.
Oregon health insurance is expensive.
Hope your health will be good in future. MA plan has paid both me and my wife $164 per month each. Cost is nothing. I guess we live in a fortunate area. I understand the cost varies from county to county.

I’ve been paying $119 per month on my supplemental, with a deductible of under $500 per year. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer two years ago (I’m since in remission) and I’ve had absolutely NO co pays, ever. Not one. I think the hospital must have absorbed the initial 500 bucks.
I was treated for over two years. My only out of pocket was an angel flight that I paid 2k of over 12k.
I wouldn’t get on MA for all the tea in China. Having said that, my prescription plan has ballooned into almost 90 bucks a month while experiencing a co-pays at pick up when I paid nothing before after a 300 deductible.
This year, during open enrollment I am definitely considering the MA prescription plan, which my husband has, for the ridiculous price of 0.35 a month. But I’m keeping my non MA supplemental for everything else.
