I don't do anything hinky or illegal on my PC. But is CCleaner good for cleaning up cache? At the moment, I use the "delete history" feature on my browser and the "delete history" feature on "Internet Options."
Does CCleaner do anything else?

No. Windows can do it for you.
used it for years along with malwarebytes

“used it for years along with malwarebytes”
Good advice.
I use System Mechanic. “Free” apps bring too much ad garbage with them.
I have used it for years as well.
It’s an out of date piece of software that’s mostly just a placebo. Windows Storage Sense handles registry cleaning better and safer.
I had CC cleaner for many years and it does a great job and just recently they further improved it so it does it even faster. A while back I came across ‘FORTECT’ I believe it was a little bit over $ 40.00 and it also does a great job repairing many things as well as speeding things up and their service is great.
Ditto,Ive used both for years. I use the free to clean the registry too.
Yes.
Yes.
I like it, but just the free version is fine
Yes, I also used it for a long time as well. They had some type of security issue with it a few years ago, but that was apparently taken care of when Avast purchased the company. I started using Disk Cleanup, the free tool included with Windows when there were security concerns.
I do appreciate many 3rd party utilities. The free edition that I use the most is MiniTool’s Partition Wizard. I find it more intuitive and more versatile than the built in tools included with Windows. I think CCleaner is similar to that scenario in most ways... it is not something that you really need but it is convenient.
good info
thanx for sharing
You are welcome. I also found that their customer service is very prompt in responding to questions.
Do you used the pay version, or the basic free one? I have used the basic free version and it has cleaned things other apps didn’t find. (That was a long time ago.)
Used it for years. Especially like the Registry Cleaner tool. Keeps my computer running fast.
“Windows Storage Sense”
Is that included with Windows, or is it something extra?
