I suppose if my husband overtly flirted with pretty women I would be anxious. Happily for ME, I had no worries in that regard.
The only ones I had angst about were the home wrecker ones seeking conquests no matter who or what they destroyed with their, dare I say it, promiscuous ways.
I don’t think a study needed to be conducted to arrive at those results. It’s basically, “Well, duh!”

So, if the wife was to say put on 50 pounds or so and cut off sex to once a month, the man may wander.

We should always bless those who prevent us from making a terrible mistake, however it is they do it.
Past 30 a woman is more likely to poach another woman’s man. Not because she is interested in a relationship, but because she is seeking validation as an attractive woman.
The irony is the farther ages past 30, the more vulnerable she becomes to the predations of married lotharios.
So you're saying the sweet spot is post-menopause but pre-obesity?
They see the threat and as often as not, misbehave accordingly.

I am a firm believer in the scent of woman, and it works both ways. They can tell if you’ve been on an extended losing streak and won’t have anything to do with you.
My eyes tell me that obesity hits (for those that let it) far, far before menopause. I don't get how even the young ones don't seem to care. I've been overweight before and hated every minute of it.
They needed a “study” to figure this out? Who was paying for it—USAID?
