Can Schoolteachers be Trusted?

Public schools depend on a degree of consensus from parents and taxpayers regarding the basics of what their students are being taught. This trust is especially important in these chaotic times when many parents across the country have discovered that their schools are teaching children in a way contrary to their family and religious values by indoctrinating them with creepy views on gender and sexuality.

I know of several high schools in Virginia caught in shameful gender and sexuality-related issues. Two noteworthy incidents happened in Loudoun County in very blue northern Virginia. The first involved a boy (claiming to be girl) who raped a girl in the girl’s restroom and the school covered it up and transferred the boy to another school where he repeated the offense. The news went viral due to a video of the girl’s father being violently removed from a school board meeting for complaining about it.

The second incident had a reverse twist. This happened last year when the "Loudoun Three" boys were charged for Title IX "sexual harassment." Their “crime” was asking a girl (claiming to be a boy) why she was in their locker room and videoing them. Since then, the charges were mysteriously dropped for the Muslim boy while the two Christian boys got an additional charge of "sex-based discrimination”!

A third incident happened a few days ago on Oct. 1st in a rural high school west of Charlottesville, VA. This happened after it was announced that Victoria Cobb, President of The Family Foundation of Virginia will speak about the biological truth that there are two genders -- male and female at the school’s TPUSA chapter’s regular lunchtime meeting. Her permission to speak came only after some outside public pressure and added legal muscle from the Founding Freedoms Law Center.

In a lot of rural areas, teaching provides a lot of college educated jobs. Otherwise it largely lawyers, doctors, dentists, and nurses.

Public school teachers come from the bottom 20% of college graduates, on average. They have no teaching capabilities beyond regurgitating leftist drivel that gained them a passing grade from a Marxist professor. Their accreditation and teaching certifications come out of compliance with leftist ideology twisted into bureaucratic regulation.

A CPA is forbidden from teaching accounting. A Chemist is prohibited from teaching Chemistry. A Biologist is prohibited from teaching Biology or Science. An Actuarial is forbidden from teaching statistics. An Astrophysicist is prohibited from teaching Physics.

Get it? My wife's company used to donate time from their highly skilled and compensated employees. The schools forbid any classroom contact with students or teachers, leaving them running copy machines, grading multiple choice exams, and judging Science Fair projects. In reality, the districts didn't want them there at all. It was obvious the teachers were idiots, the material covered was trivial and unimportant. Even a pretty good teacher would be shunned by the administration for cooperating. After the third year the company ended the fiasco. They tried.

As a retired teacher I can answer that question. RESOUNDING NO!

With very few exceptions.

There have been virtually no “teachers” in government schools since the 1970s...

They were gradually replaced with “indoctrinators” and given almost total control over children...

Birth parents were relegated to a substatus with no real rights over their offspring...

When we had public school systems (pre-1970), there were real teachers, and parents controlled their neighborhood schools...
It was the finest system on the planet...

However, it was when the communists had black-robed judges in place, busing was used as a method to destroy the neighborhood concept and hand the children over to government bureaucrats and government-school “indoctrinators”...
