‘H-1B is a disaster’: US Republican rep emphasises ‘need to rein in legal immigration’

US Congressman Riley M Moore (West Virginia) weighed in on the H-1B visa debate currently taking over the US political landscape. Stepping out for a guest appearance on ‘The Will Cain Show’ this week, he spoke out against the ‘specialty occupations’ nonimmigrant classification responsible for bringing in highly skilled workers from across the world.

“We don’t just need to crack down on illegal immigration, we also need to rein in legal immigration,” he wrote on his official X account, as he shared a video of his Fox News outing. Calling the H-1B visa program a “disaster,” he blamed the category for driving down wages, thereby replacing “American workers with foreigners.” The Republican politician also held the visa program responsible for leaving “American college graduates with few prospects.”

A disgruntled Moore was more than eager to voice out his issues with H-1B. “It’s not just blue-collar jobs, it’s also the white-collar jobs that are affected by the H-1B visas,” he told the Fox News host. “We send out kids off to college – go be an accountant, any of these types of jobs that are so important to the economy, and then turn around, and these companies go apply for H-1B visas and bring somebody from India.”

… we also need to rein in legal immigration,” …

FINALLY!

Someone correctly uses “rein” vs “reign.”

Whether an American loses a job to a legal or an illegal immigrant, an American has still lost a job.

With real wages stagnant or dropping for almost 30 years, there's no excuse for high levels of immigration in any category.

Employers complain they can't find trained Americans, which is simply a translation of, "We expect the job applicant, the applicant's family and the general society to pay for training, from which we will profit. But if the applicant's wages begin to rise, we'll replace him with a foreigner or lay him off and let society bear the cost."

It's not just Shaniqua who has a welfare entitlement mentality.

So called "legal immigration" should be stopped altogether until/unless the WOT ends! 😡

I'm pretty sure that it would be the most effectual guarantee of support for the America's WOT...if not support for the US across the board.

Before Ann Coulter lost her mind, she described how legal immigration would destroy the country before illegal immigration would. Of course, she wrote that before Biden let in millions. But it still goes on.

Hannity and others with a daily microphone, to this day, will establish their purity of heart by never failing to mention that they are for immigration, only legal. Most people don’t know how many millions of legal immigrants come in per year.

The cottage industry of tech support/customer service scams is continuing to increase. No doubt they are passing on the information to their buddies. I called a large retail store directly to get in contact with my sister that worked there. I asked to speack to the manager of the store. I got some indian not even from that store who promptly gave my phone number to some of his buddies and I started to get scam calls.
YOU can’t trust any of these people. As of May of last year 2023 total losses reported by those over the age of 60 topped $3.4 billion, an almost 11% increase in reported losses from 2022. That’s where we’re at as Americans!
