An X user shared a video of a woman who claimed she was fired just two days after moving to Germany for an internship. The post, seemingly using her as an example, alleged that many Indians are facing similar experiences “amid rising xenophobia."
In the video, the woman detailed her efforts to secure a position in Germany and the unexpected turn her internship took. Her experience drew attention and sparked widespread debate online.
She explained that she found an internship at a startup in Munich while job hunting in Berlin.
“Imagine moving cities for a new internship and then getting fired within just 2 days. Yep, that’s happened to me," she said. She described completing multiple interview rounds and successfully finishing the assigned task.
“They seemed super happy with my work. We went on rounds of negotiations and they were offering me accommodation in Munich. Everything seemed fine. I even left two offers on the table for this one because it sounded great," she added.
Her internship officially began on August 15 and she had also worked remotely for two weeks. Initially, everything seemed to go well. But she soon faced criticism.
“The founder came and told me that he thinks there is an issue with my attitude and I lack some fire or something. And then, I was like okay. I don’t know, I started receiving rude messages in the name of feedback," she recalled.

The X user shared the video with a caption, “Thousands of Indians in Germany have been fired in the last one year over absurd and trivial issues amid rising ‘xenophobia.’ There is now almost a blanket ban on hiring Indians in full-time positions.

In addition to merit, when building teams, there is a certain amount of legitimate subjective analysis involving character and chemistry. Some people, personality wise, are simply not a good fit with your existing team.
Maybe she just sucked at whatever they hired her to do.
Kwik-E-Mart might be hiring.
Its never their fault now, is it?
The problem is that Indians often lie and cheat to get jobs, and their lack of qualifications become very apparent when they start doing actual work. I’ve seen videos where they try to lip-sync pre-recorded audio during video interviews to hide their lack of language skills.
India is the most populous nation on the earth. The nation is totally unable to have any effect on the vastness of the poverty prevailing throughout the nation.
The result of that reality is that those who can, leave. The sheer numbers of those desiring to leave is problematic to the prosperous nations. The reality of Indian Pollution is real.
There is no solution. A plague resulting in the deaths of tens of millions in the vastly overcrowded cities might make a change
I get it now:
You’re Indian.

Wait a minute!
They went to great length to hire her.
They knew she was Indian.
Then, they fired her 2 days later!
Obviously, they had a cause!
Saar!
Her bosses in Germany might have been Turks.
Sounds kind of like some smart but untrainable horses I’ve been around...
Startups are inherently unstable places to work
For the employer of interns, one must “Speak now, or forever hold your peace”. If they are not a good fit, act quickly.
And just like that, there were no Ukraine posts any more.
