yeah, they make these drugs and they test side effects and things on computers in simulations but doing that and unleashing them upon millions of people all at once, that’s two different things.

Can’t have it both ways. And no one made anyone take the drugs. The doctors folded and started recommending them for the wrong purpose. And the pharmas made money and didn’t care what the docs were not taking the responsibility for.
I have been a diabetic since 1986 and have used a number of GLP-1 meds over the years as they became available and were increased in dose as my illness matured.
I was lambasted over these boards when I tried to tell people that these drugs have baggage and can do a lot of harm but so many people were so intent upon weight loss, many not tied to diabetes but to vanity, and now they are finding many of the possible problems they can get into. GLP-1 drugs are for the efforts to control the illness and only a few are even considered for weight loss by accident.
To my knowledge, none of them were ever created for weight loss. So, you made your bed, now sleep in it.
