The MSM sucked up to Deion every chance it could get. Ali stood for something bigger than boxing, earning respect. Something tells me Deion could have been more humble. His best recruiting tool was being Deion. It appears to not be enough. Saying provocative things can be off putting but when you become average no one listens. The MSM will fill the vacuum. Disliked him as a player for his mouth and do-rag and jumping teams regularly. Came to respect him as he was a good on air TV analyst/personality. I wish him well. He has a big mouth, but he has talent and puts in the effort. He is an American archetype.

I have been paying more attention to Deion's post-game press remarks, and his locker room talks. I believe he is a very good, god fearing man that cares deeply about his players and preparing them for a life after football. I had to look past all of the media hype and the self-promotion annoyances
