Any number of regular people have ideas which I would much rather see than the tripe greenlit by the corrupt perv media industry.
With generated people they can produce without paying off these weasels, without me-too casting, without massive ego trips, and without armies of set, CGI, and other crew.
Hollywood in turn would have to produce something *better* to compete. They can; real people, real music scores, fine choreography and stellar graphics can be awesome.
What they won’t be able to do is release crappy bla-bla sequel XIV or woke remakes and pocket millions; nor drive leftism with media. Thus the crying.
There is of course the obvious downside but if everyone can do that it’s not profitable and won’t go far.
I have absolutely no problem with AI actors and actresses. I’m a movie and TV fan, but of the CHARACTERS, rarely of the actors. So Spock, Kirk, Avon, Hutch, Napoleon Solo, Illya, Legolas - these are my only interests. If a human being doesn’t underlie the character, it’s irrelevant. The character is still there and giving me what I want, as a fan.
Besides, I can always fantasize about one of them playing the lead in my vampire goes to Hollywood movie script. Yummy!

I just did not expect that. Regardless, I kinda think people will be getting sick of AI in a few years. For the average person, it’s a fad that will wear off. For practical applications, it likely has untapped uses.
I am sure Hollywood main complaint is the character is white. It should be more diversity among AI characters! After all they will be replacing actors, so DEI should be maintain...

Their lives, public images, achievements, importance to society are all artificial...having a completely artificial actor simply culminates the process.
I’ve been chewing on this the past couple of days. I believe that the way that Hollywood will fight back is to try to stop distribution of any “film” that they didn’t produce. So, I miraculously come up with the best script ever seen, but because I’m conservative hollywood wants nothing to do with it. I grab some models, and some software, and produce the full length movie, and it’s awesome. AI generated music, etc.
Hollywood will make sure it never reaches mainstream distribution by keeping it off of HBO, etc. Making sure it is never shown in theaters “You show that movie, and you’ll never get another one from us!”. (If they don’t just out and out OWN the theater chains).
This is pretty much the only way that they can stop this. And as a friend said the other day “Look at things that AI produces TODAY and realize, they’re NEVER going to look worse. They’re only going to get better”.
Good! I hope AI puts a lot of spoiled Leftist artsy fartsy types out of a job. Let them go back to being baristas at Starbucks which is all most of them are qualified for.
